Quartzite is sandstone that heat and pressure turned into a stone harder than marble. You pick the slab at the yard, and we tag it, template the room and have it cut and set.

It's a natural stone, so no two slabs match, and the veining in a photo is a guess at what the next slab off the same block looks like. That's why we'd rather you walk the yard and put your name on the slab than pick from a screen.

Some stone sold as quartzite etches like marble when lemon juice or vinegar sits on it. The ones listed here as soft quartzite behave closer to that. A drop of lemon on an offcut at the yard settles the question in ten minutes.
