Granite is igneous rock, cut in slabs that vary from block to block. It takes heat and knocks better than most counters, and it runs from near white to near black.

Every slab is different, so the one in a photo isn't the one you get. Walk the yard, look at the whole slab in daylight, and we tag the one you choose with your name.

Most granite wants sealing after install and now and then after that, depending on how porous the stone is. A drop of water that soaks in fast tells you a slab is thirsty.
